A Program to Help Kids Read and Grow in Faith Thursday, May 13th, 2021 Keys for Kids Ministries is launching a reading program to help keep children and teens in the Bible. The Word with Zach program gives a specific reading structure and a devotion for every day. It will begin June 1 and include prizes to motivate participation. A recent study found that U.S. second and third-grade students are 30-percent behind in their reading skills because of the pandemic’s toll on education. Jessica Kogelshatz with Keys for Kids says they want to help fight this trend. She told Mission Network News the Word with Zach will not only improve reading skills, but also impart spiritual life. ....
Christian Television Making an Impact in Iran Reported by Tracy Weare | vision.org.au Friday, May 7th, 2021 Iran’s latest attempts to stop Christian television from broadcasting into the country have failed. Heart-4-Iran’s Mike Ansari says the group changed its video feed onto a different satellite, which has yielded additional benefits. Mission Network News reports, the Iranian government has been blocking calls to the station as well as jamming its signal but the recent changes have thwarted the move. Mr Ansari says the Christian broadcasts are now on the same transponder signal as some of the most popular satellite channels in Iran, meaning the organisation now reaches an even larger audience with the hope of Christ. ....
New FARMS Program in Bangladesh an Answer to Prayer Monday, May 3rd, 2021 A new program in Bangladesh answers more than a decade of prayer. Pastor William says, he’d been asking God for 15 or 16 years to send them somebody who can understand the plight of the local people. The answer was provided through FARMS International who are now helping believers grow their own food in sustainable ways. Pastor William told Mission Network News FARMS is helping locals find an identity and hope for the future: “It will help them because it will give them a growth, not only financially but also socially… and they can be a certain example to the other people,” said Pastor William. ....

(Heart4Iran) Article continues below advertisement ↴ Leaders of a Christian TV network claim that the Iranian government is trying to jam their signal, but nearly 350 people have still made a decision to follow Jesus through watching the network in the last three months. Heart4Iran operates a satellite television network that broadcasts Christian content. “We changed our feed to be on a different satellite broadcasting from outside of Iran into Iran,” Heart4Iran’s Mike Ansari says to Mission Network News. “The Iranian government is now engaging in blocking the calls [or] jamming the signal.” ....
