STAFF REPORTER GUWAHATI: Minister of Agriculture Atul Bora on Friday flagged off a fleet of 20 LED screen-mounted vehicles that will display various schemes and projects taken up by the Department in different areas. The vehicles were inaugurated during a programme held at the Directorate of Agriculture at Khanapara. During the programme, Bora also distributed 15 tractors and other agricultural equipments that can be taken on rent by farmers from Custom Hiring Centres set up in 16 districts. The tractors and the equipments were distributed under the Mission Organic Value Chain Development scheme which was launched in the year 2016-17. While the total cost of the 20 LED screen-mounted vehicles is Rs 2 crore, the cost ofthe tractors and other equipments is Rs. 1.6 crore. ....
