She married him, broke their agreed arrangements and swanned off with the money

Dear Richard
Two good friends of mine, siblings in their 50s, have had a really raw deal. Their father passed away recently. Fifteen years ago he had met a woman 20 years his junior.
He fell for this woman, and presently agreed to marry her, promising to leave her his considerable fortune, “provided she never put him in a home”. His town house, however, was sold five years ago, and it was acknowledged that the proceeds were to be left to his two children.
A year before his death, his wife did indeed put him in a care home, then swanned off on a series of holidays. She wasn’t even with him when he died. Now she has control of his entire estate, but there is no sign of the money from the house coming the children’s way.
