Oahe Downstream Shooting Complex partially closed today and Friday for law enforcement training

Pierre, SD, USA / DRGNews May 11, 2021 | 6:38 AM Law enforcement training is being held at the Oahe Downstream Shooting Complex, located along Highway 1806 at Fort Pierre/Pierre, this week. The shooting bays will be used for training today (Tues. May 11) from 12:30-10pm and Friday (May 14) from 7:30am-1pm (all times central). Park Manager Erik Richter says they’re working with the Stanley County Sheriff’s Department to provide the facilities for the important training. He says they strive to provide public access, but there are times when law enforcement agencies or youth groups such as 4-H Shooting Sports need to use the facilities.

New mobile vaccine site at Sparta World Shooting Complex offering 100 free target rounds to recipients SPARTA (WSIL) Governor Pritzker Tuesday announced a new mobile vaccination site will open at the Worldwide Shooting and Recreation Complex (WSRC). Anyone who receives the vaccine at the WSRC mobile site will receive 100 free targets of trap, skeet, or sporting clays for use at the WSRC. The site will be operated by the Illinois National Guard in coordination with the Randolph County health department and will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, May 14 th and Saturday, May 15 th for adults 18 and over. Walk-ins are welcome.
