Punjab Arts Council launches book Mutaliat Hamd-o-Naat

A book launching ceremony titled “Mutaliat Hamd-o-Naat” by the well-known poet and critic Naseem-e-Sahar was held under the auspices of Punjab Council of the Arts in collaboration with Halqa-e-Ilm-o-Adab. The ceremony was presided over by Chairman Pakistan Academy of Letters Yousuf Khushk while Professor Dr Ehsan Akbar, Anjum Khaliq, Dr Fauzia Sehar Malik and Dr Farhat Abbas were included among guests of honour. The author of the book Naseem Sahar also gave a brief commentary on his book. Dr Yusuf Khushk, Chairman PAL gave a detailed account of Naseem Sahar’s book and termed the book an outstanding one. He expressed his hope that his creative journey would continue in future. A large number of people from literary circles participated in book launching ceremony. Punjab talent hunt competitions schedule

Rawalpindi: Punjab Council of the Arts (PUCAR) has announced the schedule for ‘Punjab Talent Hunt competitions’ to be held at district, divisional and provincial levels for providing an opportunity to the youth to refine their talent in different fields.
Under the schedule, District Level completion in districts would began from 24th February while Divisional level competition would start from 10th March to promote hidden talent in the youth of the province.
District, Divisional and Province levels competition will be held in the field of singing, instruments playing, fine Arts, craft, literature, Short Story Writing, and short film making.

The Punjab Council of the Arts (PUCAR) arranged a photographic exhibition in connection with Kashmir Solidarity Day to highlight Indian atrocities, a spokesperson shared on Monday.
The exhibition will continue for general public till the end of the week.
Pakistan Green Task Force President Dr Jamal Nasir inaugurated the exhibition along with PUCAR Director Waqar Ahmed. The exhibition showcased over 100 photographs depicting current situation in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
Dr Nasir said that Kashmiris will achieve right of self-determination for a separate homeland. He added that every children of Pakistan stood with people of Kashmir in solidarity of their legitimate demand.

Rawalpindi: A funny stage play entitled ‘Mr Half Fry’ was presented under the auspices of Punjab Council of the Arts to highlight different social issues through humour and comedy which creates unrest in society.
The play was written by senior artist Anjum Malik and directed by Shahzada Ghaffar.
The caste include Rizwana Khan, Saleem Afandi, Sapna Shah, Shahzada Ghaffar, Hameed Babar, Hina Gul, Anjum Malik, Sajjad Ahmed, Haji Qayyum, Shahzad Pappu, and others played wonder role in the play which was appreciated by the people.
The aim of the play was to provide a neat and clean entertainment facility to the people of twin cities.
