Minister of State for Climate Change Zartaj Gul has said that political phobia completely dominates television, which can be replaced by artists’ creative talent to promote the country’s unique and diverse culture.
“Most media channels focus on politics with total disregard for entertainment content, depriving the national talent of opportunities to flourish,” she said while addressing a prize distribution ceremony of the Punjab Talent Hunt competitions at the Rawalpindi Arts Council (RAC) on Wednesday.
Gul maintained that there is a lack of quality artistes in the country due to a lack of opportunities, stating that the government will provide all possible facilitation in that regard. She hoped that these competitions would help produce new artists.
