Jan 16, 2021 Mrs. Mary Jo Guest, 62 of Atlanta, Michigan died peacefully surrounded by the love of her family at her home on Jan. 14, 2021. She was born in St. Pete, Florida on Jan. 1, 1959 to the late, Robert Lucal and Murl (Brown- Lucal) Marlatt. She resided in Atlanta all of her life. She married her husband, David Guest on Aug. 7, 1976 and together the couple celebrated 44 years of marriage before her passing. She spent a majority of her career in the banking and investment industry. Mary Jo was a member of the Atlanta Eagles, the Order of the Eastern Star, and the Atlanta Congregational Church. Mary Jo served on the State of Michigan Foster Care review board for over 10 years and also worked as the secretary for the Montmorency County Fair Board. One of her favorite hobbies was to go boating and she was a member of the BBOYC yacht club. Kenneth Lloyd Hartle, 86, of Gouverneur, New York completed his life journey on January 12th 2021 at his home with family members at his side. A private graveside service will be held at East Riverside Cemetery in Gouverneur with the Green Funeral Home. Memorial donations in memory of Ken are encouraged to the Gouverneur Elks Lodge or Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley. Kenneth was born to Lester Wilson and Hilah Jane (Thompson) Hartle on July 2, 1934 in Fowler, New York. Upon graduating from Gouverneur High School, Ken married Helen Maloy in Rossie on August 1, 1953. Ken had worked a variety of jobs. As a salesman for multiple farm equipment and fertilizer companies, he traveled to the corners of New York, Pennsylvania and Vermont. He and his family ran a dairy farm on the Rock Island Road until building his home on the Spragueville Road where they have lived the past 51 years. Jan 11, 2021 Kendell Hardies, 68, went to be with His Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Jan. 8, 2021 at his home in Hillman, Michigan. He was born to the late Edwin and Mavis (Bartow) Hardies. He graduated from Hillman Community Schools and attended Alpena Community College. He married the love of his life, Diane. Their marriage was blessed with three children, Gabe (Roxanna) Hardies, Josh (Alison) Hardies, Malynda (A.J.) Dubie, and six grandchildren, Lauren, Jordan, Jacob, Justin, Katelynn and Kaleb.
