Solaris to deliver nine electric buses, 12 charging stations to Romania s Sibiu Solaris Urbino Electric Source: Solaris BUCHAREST (Romania), March 3 (SeeNews) - Solaris Bus & Coach, a unit of Spain s Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles (CAF), said on Wednesday it won a 23.5 million lei ($5.8 million/ 4.8 million euro) tender for a contract to deliver nine electric buses and twelve charging stations to the central Romanian city of Sibiu. The nine new Urbino 12 type electric buses should be delivered within 23 months, the company said in a press release. Each of the new buses can carry up to 82 passengers. Under the contract, Solaris will also deliver three fast charging stations, each with a capacity of 300kW, as well as nine slow charging stations. ....

The system reuses batteries from electric buses.From pv magazine Spain Energy multinational Repsol and Spain-based EV charging station provider Ibil, a 50% subsidiary of Repsol and the Basque Energy Agency (EVE), have brought a charging station for electric vehicles, with energy storage using second-life batteries, into service. Solaris to deliver 11 trolleybuses to Romania s Targu Jiu under 4.5 mln euro deal Source: Solaris BUCHAREST (Romania), January 27 (SeeNews) - Solaris Bus & Coach, a unit of Spain s Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles (CAF), said on Wednesday it won a 4.5 million euro ($5.45 million) tender for a contract to deliver 11 trolleybuses to the southern Romanian city of Targu Jiu. The new Trollino 12 type trolleybuses can carry up to 91 passengers and will begin to operate in the first part of 2022, the company said in a press release. Targu Jiu is yet another Romanian city that will see deliveries of new Solaris trolleybuses. Earlier this month, Solaris announced that it would deliver 25 trolleybuses to the central city of Brasov over the next twelve months under a 63 million lei ($15.6 million/ 12.9 million euro) contract it had won. In July, Solaris delivered 26 trolleybuses to Brasov municipality. ....
