CEO says vegan âcheeseâ tastes just as good Save Share The chief executive of ASX-listed Pure Foods Tasmania says itâs hard to tell the difference between the plant-based âcheeseâ made by newly-acquired Lauds Plant Based Food and traditional dairy cheese as he chases a slice of a $3.9 billion global market. Michael Cooper said on Tuesday the company aimed to have national distribution through its existing networks for the Lauds range within four to five weeks, as he also signalled a move into the plant-based meat category. Hungry Jack s restaurants at Calamvale, Annerley and Kedron are among the first restaurants in the Brisbane region to undergo the change, with development applications being lodged at all three locations to increase their drive through capacity from one lane to two.
