There were 2,538 new cases recorded in PMC, 1293 in PCMC, 1884 in Pune rural, 277 in councils and 54 in the cantonment area. The total COVID-19 positive cases in the district are pegged at 7, 99,232 said district health officials. Out of the current active cases 29,498 are in hospital isolation and 69,288 in home isolation. ....

This brings the progressive count of discharged patients in the district to 6,79,335 as of Sunday. From the daily discharges, 4,759 are from PMC limits, 2,027 from PCMC, 2,795 from Pune Rural, 783 PMC, 2265 from PCMC, 2708 from Pune Rural, 451 from Councils and 138 from the Cantonment area. This brings the cumulative COVID-19 positive cases in the district to 7,93,186 till date. Out of the current active cases 28,704 are in institutional care while 73,010 are in home isolation. ....

This has taken the cumulative total of recoveries in the district to 6,29,205, said district health officials. Also, 112 COVID deaths were reported on Tuesday, with the district death tally now at 11,647. Apart from this, 10,393 fresh COVID cases were reported in the district on Tuesday. The cumulative total of COVID cases has risen to 7,42,451 in the district, said officials. ....

The visit was conducted by the medical officer and elected members on Sunday. On Saturday, Pune district crossed the 12k mark for the third time and recorded the highest single day spike in cases since the start of the pandemic. The district recorded a total of 12,836 fresh cases on Saturday. The total COVID-19 positive cases till date are reported to be 7,09, 796 in the district. The Pune Municipal Corporation recorded 6,006 new cases, PCMC 2,982, Pune Rural 2,889, councils 770 and Cantonment 189, new cases. From the active cases in the district 25,642 are recovering in hospitals while 74,802 are in home isolation. ....
