What Changed?
Another Monday, another winter storm. Only nuisance snow is in the forecast for Monday, only for a brief time, and only for part of the state. However, there could be a few tricky hours in the middle of the day, as heavy snow falls and accumulates.
Models have been remarkably consistent with this temperature and precipitation type forecast. That gives meteorologists confidence that we know how the storm will play out.
The biggest change since my Sunday weather blog is a slight
increase in moisture and slight
decrease in temperatures. The end result: More snow, for the snow zone of North Jersey.
The National Weather Service has issued a
Winter Weather Advisory for Warren County only, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday.
That is the most likely location to see 3+ inches of snow accumulation. Travel impacts are likely throughout the day.
Winter Weather Advisory (purple) for Monday.

The Bottom Line
We made through an entire weekend two whole days with sunshine! (And cold temperatures. And a few snow showers.) I guess Mother Nature decided that was enough of a break, as New Jersey s next storm system is set to arrive on Monday.
This will be a fast-moving clipper system. In and out in 6 to 8 hours. And not everyone in the state will see snow. However, snowfall could be heavy for a few hours to the north and west. A few inches of accumulation and (limited) travel troubles seem to be sure bets.
Not done yet: Additional inch or two of snow, glaze of ice Friday

The Bottom Line
Our winter storm is still in the neighborhood and will send a few waves of wintry mix through New Jersey throughout the day Friday. It won t be as severe and sloppy as Thursday, but light accumulations, reduced visibility, and slushy roads are possible.

Timing
I don t want to dig too deeply into the exact timeline of Friday s wintry weather, because we ll have splotchy patches of snow and wintry mix and rain around throughout the day. The
