Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi Emir Hafiz Naeemur Rehman on Friday expressed concern over relaxations provided by the federal government to the K-Electric (KE) in terms of hefty subsidiaries despite the fact that the private company had posted a net profit of more than Rs9 billion in only the last nine months.
The JI Karachi chief was commenting over a news item that mentioned the KE’s net profit for the nine-month period ending March 31, 2021, to be Rs9.443 billion. The annual subsidy was tantamount to sheer injustice towards the people affected by the KE and placing the national exchequer under great pressure without any logic, he said.

Talking to Geo Pakistan, Zara Naeem said that “focused studies” is what one needs to ace the tough exam, adding that she did not attend special classes for the exam, however, she had to work hard.
Naeem was declared a global prizewinner after she secured the highest marks in an ACCA exam conducted in December 2020.
She was also lauded by Federal Information Minister Shibli Faraz and the government on her achievement. Zara Naeem Dar has become the pride of the nation by topping the ACCA exams across the world, said the minister.
Naeem calls for simplifying mosques registration

LAHORE: Noted scholar and principal Darul Uloom Jamia Naeemia Dr Ragheb Hussain Naeemi has asked the government to make easy registration process of mosques and religious institutions. He also called for taking into confidence the respected religious institutions, organizations and scholars while evolving the registration process. Initial period should be extended for registration of mosques and institutions, he said while addressing a gathering on Friday. He said a regular advertisement campaign should be started by the government for registration and number of fines imposed on the organizers for late registration should be reduced. The penalty on non-provision of information should also be reduced to a reasonable extent.
