Editorial: In District 2, McKee-Rodriguez offers thoughtful vision

Editorial: In District 2, McKee-Rodriguez offers thoughtful vision Express-News Editorial Board FacebookTwitterEmail McKee-Rodriguez/ No district is more in need of consistent, stable and visionary leadership than District 2, which is on the city’s East Side. We haven’t seen such leadership since Ivy Taylor ascended to mayor in 2014. Since then, there have been many elected and appointed council members in the district. This year’s race, in many ways, embodies this inconsistency and turbulence. The incumbent, Jada Andrews-Sullivan, faces 11 challengers. A consistent concern from these challengers is a lack of responsiveness and, in turn, community concerns left unaddressed.
