Andrew Cuomo, who knows good and damn well he should step his ass down. Advertisement According to CBS News “New York State Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie said he authorized the Assembly Judiciary Committee to begin the investigation, which he said will have the power to interview witnesses and subpoena documents.” So for those of you keeping score, that means that there will be two independent investigations into sexual misconduct claims by six women, including one by the New York Attorney General’s Office. The impeachment investigation comes after 59 lawmakers all signed a letter calling for Cuomo to step down. ....
Nora returns to the Oregon Zoo Nora is back at the Oregon Zoo. After spending the past few years at Utah s Hogle Zoo, the 5-year-old polar bear returned to the zoo in Southeast Portland late Tuesday, March 9, even as operators were putting the finishing touches on the new Polar Passage habitat. Seeing Nora this morning was so exciting, said Nicole Nicassio-Hiskey, the zoo s senior marine life keeper, who worked closely with the young bear during her previous time in Portland. She has grown into a beautiful bear. Her coat looks great and she seems very comfortable already she has been taking dips and splashing around. ....
Claudine was born Sept. 12, 1925, in Selma, Calif., to parents Roy J. Gordon and Betty Merle (Robertson). Claudineâs family moved to San Pedro, Calif., around 1927, where she attended Leland Elementary, Richard Henry Dana Junior High and San Pedro High School, graduating in 1943. While attending San Pedro High, Claudine met the love of her life, Gerald (Jerry) F. Gannon Jr. They were married Dec. 19, 1944, during WWII, and their marriage lasted until Jerryâs death in 1995. Claudine was a happy, optimistic, strong and independent woman who worked as a business manager for many years at Maywood-Bell Ford. Jerry and Claudine retired in 1974 and moved to Mohave Valley, Ariz., where they enjoyed gardening, playing in the Colorado River, square dancing and hosting family reunions. Claudineâs other hobbies included family genealogy, crocheting, knitting, sewing, reading and baking. Claudineâs grandchildren and great-grandchildren still try to recreate favorite ....

Carlos Tavares, chief executive officer of the recently formed Stellantis NV, said the company was engaged in dialogue with the Cherokee Nation over its use of the name. Jeep has two models, the Cherokee compact sport-utility vehicle and larger Grand Cherokee, that it sells in the U.S. and beyond. Asked in an interview if he would be willing to change the Jeep Cherokee s name if pushed to do so, Mr. Tavares said, We are ready to go to any point, up to the point where we decide with the appropriate people and with no intermediaries. ....
