Rohingya leader shot dead Our Correspondent, Cox’s Bazar Our Correspondent, Cox’s Bazar Alleged robbers gunned down a Rohingya community leader at Lambersia refugee camp in Ukhia upazila of Cox s Bazar on Saturday evening. Majhi (community leader) Swakat Hossain, 45, was of Block-D of the camp, said Naimul Haque, superintendent of police (SP) of Arms Police Battalion (APBn) -14. Witnesses said armed robbers went to a temporary cloth shop inside Lambersia camp around 4:00pm on Saturday. They shot Swakat several times and fired shots in the air to create panic and leave, they said. Swakat was taken to an IOM operated medical facility in critical condition and then to Cox s Bazar General Hospital where he declared dead on arrival. ....
