Everest Pharmacy in Darwen will open to the public for coronavirus vaccinations on Thursday. The next two weeks are already fully booked with every slot taken as the pharmacy becomes the first in Darwen to start vaccinations. Vaccine appointments will be available on Thursdays, Friday and Saturdays, from 8am and typically finishing at 7pm, but times may vary on weekends. Naima Ghuri, who works as a Pharmacy Assistant and will be leading the vaccinations, said: “At the moment, people can book by going online to the NHS website and pick the Everest Pharmacy as the centre.” The Everest Pharmacy has another branch in Manchester, which started coronavirus vaccinations already, prompting them to be asked if they would also run vaccines at their Darwen branch. ....
