People gathered both virtually and in person for the day of remembrance. 2019-2020 Student Body President Chandler Crean spoke in a pre-recorded speech and said, in part, “It was unbelievable that this could happen to such a special place like our university, but it did happen. And two years later, I have not forgotten the pain of that night and the days and weeks that followed.” ....

The university asked those in the community to wear green in solidarity and to share personal reflections. Ellis Reed Parlier, 19, and Riley Howell, 21, were killed in the shooting. Rami Alramadhan, 20, Sean Dehart, 20, Emily Houpt, 23, and Drew Pescaro, 19, were injured in the shooting. ....
