NETRAKONA, April 24, 2021 (BSS)- State Minister for Social Welfare and valiant Freedom Fighter Ashraf Ali Khan Khasru, MP, today distributed essential food items among 350 shop workers and poor people during the ongoing lockdown at Netrakona Stadium here today.
Netrakona district administration with the help of Ministry of Relief and Disaster Management arranged the distribution of 350 relief packets, which contained rice, pulse, oil, salt and potato, to the shop workers and poverty-stricken people abiding by the health guidelines amid Coronavirus pandemic.
Deputy commissioner of Netrakona Kazi Mohammad Abdur Rahman, police super Akber Ali Munshi, civil surgeon Dr. Salim Mia , president of district chamber of commerce and industries Abdul Wahed and general secretary of district Red crescent society Gazi Muzammel Hussain Tuku were present at the relief packets distribution program. ....

NETRAKONA, April 19, 2021 (BSS) – Cultivation of high yielding and hybrid varieties of Boro paddy is going on in full swing in the Haor areas of the district during the current season.
The Boro cultivators are expediting the Boro paddy harvesting process through using combined paddy harvesting machines, which were distributed to them by the government at subsidized prices, for protecting the Boro paddy lands from flash flood and other natural calamities.
District administration and Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE) Netrakona are closely monitoring the Boro harvesting in the haor areas, which is popularly known as paddy-rich area of the country. ....

NETRAKONA Dec 31, 2020 (BSS) – Speakers at a discussion here today underlined the need for ensuring transparency and accountability in implementing rural infrastructure maintenance and repair programs of the government and hassle-free official service with free flow of information.
The ministry of disaster management and relief in cooperation with district administration organized the discussion on “Ensuring Effective Official Service Delivery and Right to Information Act-2009” at the conference room of Netrakona DC office.
