The FIFA Disciplinary Committee has expelled Kenyan football club Zoo Kericho FC from the 2020-2021 Kenyan Premier League after the club was found guilty of match fixing, which is a violation of the 2019 FIFA Disciplinary Code.
The expulsion is effective immediately.
The investigation, which was conducted through FIFA’s Integrity Department, found evidence of match manipulation in the Kenyan Premier League by Zoo FC members between 2018 and 2020.
The Committee concluded that Zoo FC breached article 8 and article 18 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code, which outline club responsibility and prohibit the manipulation of matches and competitions. ....

The FIFA Disciplinary Committee has found Kenyan club Zoo FC guilty of having been involved in match manipulation in violation of the FIFA Disciplinary Code (2019 edition).
The decision to sanction Zoo FC is related to a series of matches in the Kenyan Premier League deemed to have been manipulated between 2018 and 2020 by individuals belonging to the club, as a consequence of which the club has been held responsible for the behaviour of its members.
By means of this decision, for the first time since the amendments applied to the FIFA Disciplinary Code in 2019, a legal person has been held liable by a FIFA judicial body for the conduct of its members with regard to match manipulation. ....

PUTRAJAYA: Two senior officers from the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) were among 12 people arrested by Johor police for allegedly colluding with the Nicky Gang, an organised crime network involved in online scams and fraudulent investment schemes.
MACC chief commissioner Datuk Seri Azam Baki
(pix) said yesterday that the commission had given its full cooperation to police by handing over the two officers for investigations.
“I view this very seriously and will not compromise on the matter. If there are other MACC officers involved, we will hand them over to the police,” he said. ....
