Jan 8, 2021 CHATHAM, MI/ CARP LAKE, MI – Justin Taskey, age 41, of Chatham and Carp Lake, Michigan, died Monday, January 4, 2021 at his family home due to complications stemming from a previous motorcycle accident. He was born on October 6, 1979 in Marquette, Michigan to Tom and Elaine (Nelson) Taskey. Justin grew up a mischievous child who loved to tease his family and friends, a trait he never grew out of. He enjoyed riding dirt bikes, snowshoeing and snowboarding at the ski hill in Chatham. Justin graduated from Superior Central High School in 1998. He worked for several years at the New Moon Bar in Eben, as a maintenance worker for American Eagle at Sawyer, and as a mechanic at Junction Auto. Justin became certified as a heavy equipment operator and specialized as a crane operator with the Local 324 Operators Engineers.
