Deputy Chief Alfonse Carlucci coordinated nine Newark Fire Division Units, including three Battalion Chiefs, to flooded areas where motorists needed assistance. Officials said the Zodiac boats were deployed, similar to the boat pictured below, to flooded areas in order to reach motorists.
