Teermanâs to close after 80 years in Holland By Peg McNichol

HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) â Earlier this month the owners of Teermanâs, a long-time downtown Holland shop, announced they were eliminating the housewares side of their shop. This week, they announced the patio and clock sections are also being eliminated, and the entire store will close.
Some discounts are already announced; customers who have items on order will get those. Teermanâs officials will contact those customers individually.
In one social-media post announcing the initial housewaresâ downsizing, story officials theyâve been honored to be part of Downtown Holland for more than 80 years but âunfortunately the events of the past year and necessitate closing our housewares department.â The also indicated Nelisâ Dutch Village woule open a retail outlet in the former housewares space.
