NSW News: Man wanted by police busted during crack down on NSW roads over Easter


A man wanted by police is due to face court after the vehicle he was travelling in was stopped by police during a crack down on dangerous driving on NSW roads over the Easter Weekend.
Police spotted the P-plate driver of a Subaru Liberty travelling at 128km/h in a 110km/h zone on the Hume Highway, Coolac around 3.20pm on Saturday.
Officers stopped the car and spoke to 41-year-old man, and his passenger, a 33-year-old man.

Police charge man with high-range PCA after being reported for dangerous driving during Australia Day Operation
Police have charged a man with high range PCA in Port Stephens after a member of the public reported him for dangerous driving before confiscating his keys when he pulled over, during the Australian Day road-safety operation.
Between 12.01am last Friday (22 January 2021) and 11.59pm last night (Tuesday 26 January 2021), officers from Traffic and Highway Patrol Command with assistance from Police Area Commands and Police Districts conducted Operation Australia 2021 across NSW.
About 6.50am on Sunday (24 January 2021), police received reports from a motorist that the driver of a Nissan Navara was driving dangerously on the Pacific Highway near Heatherbrae, Port Stephens. ....

Police are calling on motorists to look out for each other this Australia Day after a series of fatal crashes this year.
Officers from Traffic and Highway Patrol Command with assistance from Police Area Commands and Police Districts will be conducting Operation Australia Day 2021 between 12.01am tomorrow (Friday 22 January 2021) and 11.59pm on Tuesday 26 January 2021.
Motorists face double demerit points during the period for speeding, mobile phone, motorcycle helmet and seatbelt offences.

NYE police pursuit ends in Coffs Harbour crash

The driver of stolen Landcruiser which led police on a chase into Coffs Harbour has evaded capture after crashing into a parked car.
Just before 11pm on Thursday, December 31, highway patrol officers were doing speed checks on the Pacific Highway at Corindi Beach when they detected a Toyota Landcruiser allegedly exceeding the speed limit.
Police were unable to stop the vehicle and a pursuit commenced towards Coffs Harbour.
Officers then deployed tyre deflation devices in Korora which successfully deflated the tyres, however the Landcruiser continued into Price Street where it collided with a parked van.
Three occupants ran from the car before police arrested an 18-year-old passenger and he was taken to Coffs Harbour Police Station and charged with breach of bail and carry in conveyance. ....
