Doha: Technology is one of the most important skills students must acquire in the 21st century, to develop a capable and adept generation. As a result, Qatar University’s Young Scientists Center (QU-YSC) works hard to develop Qatari youth in this area and recently hosted a range of workshops and activities targeting elementary school children.
Students in the 4th grade joined the YSC’s ‘problem-solving’ track in its 8th cycle. This track focused mainly on students acquiring critical and creative thinking skills to solve various problems. Students worked on activities and applications related to forces, their types, and effects. ....

Qatar University’s Young Scientist Center celebrates the National Day through ‘December Al-Adaam’ initiative.

Doha: Qatar University’s Young Scientist Center (QU-YSC) launched a distinctive national initiative entitled “December Al-Adaam” that will continue throughout the month. The initiative aims to involve Qatar University students from all departments to celebrate Qatar National Day. The initiative is also keen to highlight, thank, and appreciate all the state and the front-liners’ efforts for their pronounced contributions and decisions to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic this year.
YSC found that presenting this initiative is a chance for QU students to express their gratitude for the sacrifices made and the state’s efforts to preserve the people in peace and security and that the National Day is the best occasion to express thanks and gratitude to the state. ....
