By Brad Jennings Apr 30, 2021 4:29 PM Saskatoon Police are investigating after two men allegedly broke into a Nutana Park home while armed. On Friday afternoon at around 2:20 p.m. police received a call that two men had broken into a home in the 20 block of Middelton Crescent. The report also claimed that at least one of the men were armed. When police arrived officers say one man fled on foot and was apprehended in the 40 block of Riel Crescent. Police say the second man was also brought into custody and allege a firearm was located at the scene. Saskatoon Police say more information will be provided when it becomes available. ....

Environment Canada confirmed the signficant winds were record breaking. “The winds were extremely strong. Out towards Bratt’s Lake, just south of Regina, they received the strongest wind gusts of 143 km/h. The airport in Saskatoon recording a wind gusts of 102 km/h,” Environment Canada meteorologist Mike Russo explained. “There were a lot of places in Saskatchewan overnight that wind gusts over 100 km/h.” ....
