Bath and Body Brand Rocky Robinson Launches to Inspire Black Girls


Entrepreneur Audra Robinson is helping little Black girls to see their potential and practice self-care.  
A native of St. Paul, Minnesota, Robinson created her own self-care line that includes, lotion, lip balm, hand sanitizer, and shower gel. All of the products are a part of her animated brand “Rocky Robinson,” a little Black princess who is relatable, energetic, and created to be a role model and trusted friend to Black girls everywhere.
Robinson, who spent years working in the retail marketing industry, says it all started after noticing a void. ”I saw a gap and opportunity to create a brand that was unmistakably a Black girl, with deep skin tones, highly texturized hair,” Robinson explained. “When you walk down the shelf in those aisles, you don’t see brands that really are authentic and speak to that consumer,” she said in an interview with FOX affiliate KMSP-TV. ....

"Heart-to-Heart Conversations" bring awareness to heart disease in North Minneapolis

Insight News has partnered with the Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation (MHIF) to present a series of virtual health-education conversations focused on heart health called “Heart-to-Heart Conversations.”
The first conversation featured Al McFarlane, Editor,
Insight News and co-founder of the Insight Health Equity Action Lab, Stella-Whitney West, CEO of NorthPoint Health & Wellness, Dr. Mosi Bennett, a cardiology specialist at Minneapolis Heart Institute and Dr. Courtney Jordan Baechler, a cardiologist and medical director of the medical director for the Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation’s emerging science centers.
According to the Minnesota Department of Health, African-American adults aged 35-64 die from heart disease at approximately two times the rate of whites of the same age in Minnesota. ....
