Keith A. Maristuen, 68, died peacefully Sunday, April 18th, with his children by his side. Keith was born February 6, 1953, in Malta, MT, to Kermit and Agnes (Haugland) Maristuen. He and his two sisters, Cheryl and Monica, were raised and educated in Malta. Keith graduated from Malta High School in 1971. Growing up, he was very involved in many activities including wrestling, football, Key Club, student government, Boy s State, National Honor Society, FFA, Canadian Exchange Student, and M club. He was beloved by many as Mushy the class president and valedictorian. Keith attended the University of Montana, earning a BA with high honors in 1975 and graduating from the University of Montana Law School with high honors in 1978. Most importantly while attending the U of M, he met the love of his life, Christine Chrissy Barrow. They were married in Chinook September 14, 1974.

Hamilton Lady Broncs Drop First Game At State
The Hamilton Lady Broncs came up against a high-scoring Havre Blue Pony team in their first game of the State Class A Girls Basketball Tournament in Great Falls on Wednesday. Hamilton lost the game, Havre 54 to Hamilton 37.
The Blue Ponies jumped to an early lead and were ahead by 12 points at the start of the second quarter, 15 to 3. The Lady Broncs began to come back with scoring, but still trailed by 19 at the half - Havre 30 to Hamilton 11. In the third quarter Hamilton was stronger, especially with Kearns at the free-throw line, but Havre was still ahead 48 to 27 as the fourth quarter started. The final tally was Havre 54 and Hamilton 37.
Havre speakers take fourth, seventh in online tournament
Press release Havre High School again fielded a small team for online competition over the weekend, but saw success at the tournament hosted by Custer County District High School in Miles City. Juniors Dartanion Kaftan and Riley Klein, competing at just their second tournament together, went 3-1 in preliminary rounds and just missed the cut to debate it out for first and second in the finals round.
