ADVERTISEMENT ADVERTISEMENT J&J Can t Scrub False Ad Suit Over Oil-Free Moisturizer Law360 (December 15, 2020, 8:14 PM EST) A California federal judge isn t letting Johnson & Johnson Consumer Inc. escape a proposed class action alleging it falsely advertises a Neutrogena facial moisturizer as oil free, saying a buyer s allegations that she was fooled by the labeling pass muster at the pleading stage. In an order filed Monday, Senior U.S. District Judge Terry J. Hatter Jr. sided with Narguess Noohi in her claims that the moisturizer contained oil ingredients despite the advertising. According to the suit, Noohi bought the moisturizer in March based on the advertising s promise that it contained no oil products, only to find out it contained several. ....

One is accused of battery, while another was arrested on drunken-driving charges. Still another was arrested on an outstanding child sex-abuse warrant. ....
On the eve of the filing of a taxpayerâs lawsuit that challenges the authorization of a special prosecutor to pursue a criminal case against a Beachwood city councilman, council voted to retain another lawyer to defend the city. Beachwood Law Director Diane A. Calta told council it was necessary to retain Kenneth J. Fisher of Cleveland as special counsel because Beachwoodâs insurance agency wonât cover a taxpayerâs lawsuit and she expects the costs to rise above the $5,000 she is authorized to spend without council approval. She said there could be other claims as well. At the Dec. 7 council meeting held virtually, council president James Pasch and councilman Mike Burkons recused themselves. Burkons is the plaintiff in the lawsuit. ....
