$225,000 costs awarded to Bryan Staples company and lawyer after quake case dispute

Justice Anne Hinton found against Pfisterer and ordered her to pay the $93,000.
Claims Resolution and Grant Shand Solicitors then sought costs.
In a decision released on Friday, Justice Hinton awarded Claims Resolution $150,000 for solicitor-client costs and $5061 for disbursements, and awarded Grant Shand costs of $62,834 and $7515 for disbursements.

Former Conservative party leader Colin Craig has refused to rule out a Supreme Court appeal in his decade-long legal fight against his former press secretary over sexual harrassment claims.
Craig told
Stuff he would “talk it through with my lawyers” after hearing the Court of Appeal had thrown out his bid to overturn a 2019 High Court decision that found he sexually harassed Rachel MacGregor for years, while she worked for him.
In its decision released Tuesday, the Court of Appeal reconfirmed Justice Hinton’s ruling that Craig s letters to MacGregor were “highly inappropriate” for an employer to send an employee and had “clear sexual content”. ....

Former Conservative Party leader Colin Craig has lost his bid to overturn a court finding that he sexually harassed his press secretary.
Today s Court of Appeal decision is the latest chapter in a years-long legal saga over the fallout from the 2014 election campaign, when Craig s staffer Rachel MacGregor suddenly resigned.
The appeal relates to a 2019 High Court judgment in Craig s defamation case against MacGregor.
