The document was quietly placed on the departmental website late on Friday without even a press release let alone a press conference by either the minister, Peter Dutton, or Australian Defence Force chief Angus Campbell.
The four-year plan for rebuilding the army’s reputation makes for painful reading. It once again highlights the damage done to the military’s reputation by the findings that there was credible information of serious and disturbing breaches by Australian troops of their moral, legal and professional responsibilities – not least of all the alleged unlawful killing of 39 individua ....
