Thiruvananthapuram: A 50-year-old homemaker from Kuttichal, Kerala, has secured third rank in her final year LLB degree course. Jayasree, the
wife of a carpenter, had been studying law at the Thiruvananthapuram Law academy as an evening class student.
Jayasree, who had acquired a post-graduate degree in Economics from University College, Thiruvananthapuram, two and half decades ago, decided to resume her education and study law after her son Gokul joined the Kuttichal Lourde Matha College to study hotel management and daughter Gopika joined BSc in Physics at University College, Thiruvananthapuram. ....

KANNUR: The intention was simple and clear. But, the message was loud. The times were disastrous and people in distress had been looking around for help. Distress Management Collective India (DMCI) came into being during the flood of 2018 when Kerala was left battered in one of the worst monsoon furies in the history of the state.
Their cries for help were well heard around the globe and people from various walks of life had extended their support to the organization to rebuild the lives of thousands of people who were affected by nature s wrath. That was so encouraging. It was heartening to see there are so many people in this society willing to offer their help for the suffering humanity, said P Manoj Kumar, state coordinator of DMCI. ....

The Supreme Court that is hearing petitions regarding the validity of the three farm laws has stayed the implementation of the farm laws until further orders. The apex court also ordered the formation of a four-member committee to hear both the sides. The members of the committee are Bhupender Singh Mann, BKU, Anil Ghanwant of Shetkari Sanghatana, Ashok Gulati, Agricultural Scientist, Pramod K Joshi of International Food Policy Research Institute. ....

Supreme Court puts on hold 3 farm laws, sets up 4-member committee to hold talks
The Supreme Court, in its verdict on the petitions regarding the Centre s new farm laws and the ongoing farmers protest, has put on hold the three farm laws. It has also set up a four-member committee to clear the issues.

The farmers have been protesting against the farm laws for over a month (PTI)
The Supreme Court on Tuesday heard petitions related to the Centre s three new farm laws and those concerning people s right to free movement in the backdrop of the ongoing farmers protest. In its verdict, the Supreme Court said it was putting a hold on the three farm laws till further notice. The Supreme Court has also set up a four-member committee to give a report to the court on the farm laws. ....
