May 5, 2021 Credit: Siemens Gamesa Offshore wind turbine maker Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy has secured, subject to final contract awards, more work in Taiwanese offshore wind space. The company was back in November 2019 announced as a preferred supplier of offshore wind turbines for Hai Long 2A (300 MW) project. In a statement on Wednesday, Siemens Gamesa said that the collaboration with Taiwan-based customer Hai Long Offshore Wind Project (Hai Long) had been extended to 1,044 MW. Siemens Gamesa’s largest offshore agreement in Taiwan to date now covers the Hai Long 2B (232 MW) and Hai Long 3 (512 MW) projects, Siemens Gamesa said. The wind turbine maker said that its giant 14MW SG 14-222 DD offshore wind turbines and service for the full volume of the project are included in the preferred supplier agreement. ....

The turbine supplier s largest offshore agreement in Taiwan to date now covers the Hai Long 2B (232MW) and Hai Long 3 (512MW) projects. The preferred supplier agreement for Hai Long 2A (300 MW) was announced on November 13, 2019. Flagship SG 14-222 DD offshore wind turbines and service for the full volume of the project are included in the preferred supplier agreement. The agreement remains subject to contract and final investment decision from Hai Long consortium partners, Canadian independent power producer Northland Power and Taiwan-based developer Yushan Energy, which is jointly owned by Mitsui & Co in Japan and Yushan Energy in Singapore. ....
