Kim Patrick Teykl, 63, of Needville went home to join God and his family in heaven on December 18th, 2020. He was born December 9th, 1957 in Wharton, Texas to parents Donald and Vallie Teykl. Kim is one of 4 sons born to Donnie and Vallie. He graduated from Needville High School in 1976, and from Wharton County Junior College in 1978 with an Associates degree in Science. He then transferred to the University of Houston where he attended night classes, completing his bachelorâs degree in industrial distribution in 1982. During high school, Kim could be found working alongside his dad at the Cabinet Shop in Needville. Upon graduation from high school Kim worked for Henry Steinkamp Surveying for a short period of time before he joined the family business, Damon Farm and Ranch. Kim married his high school sweetheart, Janice Mikeska, on June 30th, 1979 at St. Michaelâs Catholic Church in Needville. They were blessed with their first child, Kristi Nicole, on July 19th, ....

Students at Needville High School are in the midst of two fundraisers for the Graves family, who had a car wreck last month that injured three members of the family. Bryce Graves is in ninth grade at the high school and his sister Addyson is in seventh grade at the junior high. They and their mom suffered injuries that required hospitalization. T-shirts are being sold for $20, with all proceeds going to the Graves family. Although the exact design has not yet been decided on, the shirts will feature the childrenâs names and a slogan of encouragement to the family. ....
