By Julia Bertino (Lincoln, NE) A Lincoln Police officer suffered minor injuries after a suspect assaulted her. The Lincoln Police Department says around 7:00 Sunday night, officers were called to the U-Stop at 27th and E for a disturbance. Police say an employee reported that a man, who had been banned from their store, was arguing with him after eating a hot dog and snack cake without paying. Investigators say an officer arrived and contacted the man, 38 year old Jason Nelson, who was still in the store. Police say Nelson began yelling at the officer, threw his food down, and refused to do what the officer asked. ....
