Collaboration to Measure Atmospheric Pollution Announced

Chromatotec recently welcomed a research team from the PRAT (Atmospheric Reactivity Platform) to its laboratories after partnering with them on air pollution control and measurement solutions. Managed by the CNRS and University of Orleans, the PRAT studies the impact of gaseous and particulate pollutants emitted by human activity (transport, pesticides, heating, industrial activities) on health, climate and the environment. Chromatotec collaborates with the ICARE-CNRS Laboratory through analytical development of GC-MS techniques for atmospheric measurement of volatile and semi-volatile organic compounds. The two entities will combine their expertise to validate the analytical system performance. ....

The reversal in coffee price trend has left growers worried in key producing states such as Karnataka and Kerala as they complete the harvest and gear up to start operations such as pruning and manuring for the next season.
Farm gate coffee prices in Karnataka have dropped by 6-7 per cent over the past four months, even as global prices have turned volatile during this period. Arabica May 21 futures on ICE have risen to 132 cents per pound last week, from about 128 cents in early April. Similarly, Robusta May 21 futures on LIFFE are hovering around $1,365 a tonne, up from $1,350 in early April. ....

After a direct listing in Nasdaq, cryptocurrency trading platform Coinbase witnessed a highly volatile trading day. It was a historic day for all cryptocurrencies. But looks like now the fate of Coinbaseâs trading life and popular cryptocurrency Bitcoin (BTC) may be intertwined.
While the news of listing of the trading platform in traditional exchange soared the prices of BTC, the currencyâs value also nosedived soon after the share price of Coinbase fell. After opening at $381 at around 1.30 pm ET, Coinbase shares surged to touch $429.54, only to drop later. It touched the low of $310.00 around 3 pm ET. Coinbase shares closed at $328.28, after a rollercoaster trading day. ....
