From The Tribune staff reports HOMEWOOD The victim of a Wednesday, June 2 shooting at a Homewood hotel has been identified by the Jefferson County Corner/ Medical Examiner’s Office. Patrick Lane Jones, 47, of Adamsville, was pronounced dead on the scene. Homewood Police responded to the shooting at LaQuinta Inn, on State Farm Parkway, just after 5 p.m. Investigators said the shooting appeared to be domestic in nature. One woman was taken into custody for questioning. ....

(Shutterstock) HOOVER, AL Police in Hoover are working to identify two people they say could be connected to the case of a wallet stolen from the 1500 block of Montgomery Highway last month. In a social media post, police the stolen wallet contained $400 cash, a gold ring, a driver s license, credit and debit cards and other property. The stolen cards were then used in an attempt to purchase items at the Lowe s State Farm Parkway store in Homewood, but the purchase was declined. ....
