The new Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, Mr Monday Bala Kuryasi, has warned cultists, robbers, kidnappers, illegal revenue collectors and other criminal elements to have a rethink and purge themselves or relocate from the state.
The new CP assures that under his watch, he would employ several police security tactics with more bites to tackle these social vices across the state.
Kuryasi gave this advice at his maiden press conference, held at the State Headquarters, Awka, on Tuesday. ....

Biden Announces Major Shifts In US Foreign Policy
WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Thursday, President Joe Biden announced the United States new Foreign policy, a sharp break with the policies of his predecessor.
Sending a message to the rest of the world that America is back, Biden declared that diplomacy is back at the center of United States foreign policy.
Biden announced that his Administration will increase refugee admissions to 125,000 in the first fiscal year.
An Executive Order he signed will rescind policies by the previous administration that limited refugee resettlement and required excessive vetting of applicants, and review the Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) Program for Iraqis and Syrians. President Biden also intends to propose a raise in refugee admissions for this fiscal year, after appropriate consultation with Congress. ....

Suspected herdsmen set School ablaze

Suspected herdsmen, on Wednesday afternoon, invaded Government Secondary School, Iluke, Kabba Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi state and burnt down the school.
Also, a timber contractor based in Ayangba in Kogi State, Mr. Ogwu Salihu, has been reported killed by some unknown gunmen.
Vanguard gathered that the school was invaded at about 3p.m. when students have closed from school.
A source said it was discovered that block of classrooms was set ablaze by some suspected Fulani herdsmen.
The flame of the burning schools was said to have attracted youths who mobilised to the scene. But all efforts to put out the flame were not successful as some of the classrooms were already razed. ....
