Burning Coal Theatre Company is roaring back with full education programming and three productions simultaneously. The company is offers a variety of in-person and livestreamed opportunities to join including Evita (June 17-27, outdoors at Dorothea Dix Park), the KidsWrite! Festival (May 28-29, virtual live), and the Second Stage Series (June 10-27, hybrid in-person and virtual).

Burning Coal Theatre is seeking submissions for its annual KidsWrite! program.
Each spring, the Raleigh theater seeks short one-act plays from local sixth graders to twelfth graders. Once submitted, Burning Coal will provide some constructive feedback and select six to 10 plays that will be professionally produced for the public on stage or virtually in May.
You or really, interested tweens and teens have some time. The submission deadline is March 1. But it takes time to get those creative juices flowing. And winter break is a perfect time to get them going.
