LAHORE: The Punjab government on Wednesday transferred Jhang Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Tahir and made him OSD allegedly on the complaints of PTI MNA Ghulam Bibi Bharwana. Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue), Jhang, Shahid Abbas has been entrusted the additional charge of the DC in addition to his own duties and till the posting of a regular incumbent. The government transferred Alhamra Arts Council, Lahore, Executive Director Saman Rai and posted her as Director General Public Relations, Punjab, in her own pay and scale, vice Dr Aslam Dogar transferred and posted as Alhamra executive director. The Punjab government also transferred Local Government and Community Development Additional Secretary Mehr Shahid Zaman and directed him to report to the S&GAD for further orders. ....
Italian envoy visits Alhamra January 20, 2021 LAHORE: The Italian Ambassador to Pakistan Andreas Ferraris visited Lahore Arts Council on Tuesday at Alhamra Art Centre, The Mall. He was received by Lahore Arts Council Board of Governors Chairperson Moneeza Hashmi and Alhamra Executive Director Saman Rai. Cultural activities were discussed during the meeting and commitment to work together under mutual understanding was welcomed by both sides. During the visit, he took keen interest in Alhamra Art Gallery, Academy of Performing Arts, studio, research centre and other departments. Alhamra celebrates Quaid’s birth anniversary Lahore December 26, 2020 LAHORE:Lahore Arts Council (LAC) celebrated 144th birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah with great respect here on Friday at Alhamra Art Centre, the Mall Road. Information Secretary Raja Jahangir Anwar was the chief guest on the function. He cut the cake along with Chairperson Alhamra Moneeza Hashmi, Executive Director Saman Rai and DGPR Dr Aslam Dogar, Director-General PILAC Dr Sughra Sadaf, Director Lahore Museum Ejaz Ahmad Minhas and other officials. On the occasion, Provincial Secretary for Information and Culture, Raja Jahangir Anwar said that today is a day of happiness not only for me but for the entire Pakistani nation.
