Hero MotoCorp Share Price News: Hero MotoCorp Shares Fall After March Quarter Earnings

Hero MotoCorp shares fell as much as 3.17 per cent.
Shares of the world s largest two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp fell as much as 3.17 per cent, on account of profit-booking, to hit an intraday low of Rs 2,820.50, a day after it reported March quarter earnings. Hero MotoCorp s net profit rose 39 per cent to Rs 865 crore from Rs 621 crore during the same quarter last year.
Its revenue from operations advanced 39 per cent to Rs 8,686 crore from Rs 6,238 crore during the March quarter of 2020.
Its operating profit or earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) stood at Rs 1,211 crore reflecting 13.9 EBITDA margin.
During the quarter Hero MotoCorp sold 15.68 lakh units of motorcycles and scooters registering a growth of 18.5 per cent over the corresponding quarter in the previous year. The company had sold 13.23 lakh units in Q4FY20. ....

market outlook: D-Street keeps Covid blues at bay, but upside may remain capped in near term

MUMBAI: With benchmark equity indices rising for the third successive week, the longest such streak since January, signs are emerging that investor concerns over the second Covid-19 wave are steadily receding, said analysts.
The sentiment is borne out by the fact that India VIX, also known as the fear gauge, nosedived 10 per cent during the week and nearly reversed the 11 per cent surge seen in April.

Hero MotoCorp Q4 PAT jumps 39% YoY to Rs 865 cr

Thw two-wheeler major reported 39.4% jump in net profit to Rs 864.97 crore in Q4 FY21 as against Rs 620.71 crore in Q4 FY20.Net sales during the quarter increased 39.2% year-on-year (YoY) to Rs 8685.97 crore. EBITDA was at Rs 1,211 crore in Q4 FY21, up 83.5% from Rs 660 crore in Q4 FY20. EBITDA margin stood at 13.9% as on 31 March 2021 compared with 10.6% as on 31 March 2020.
The company sold 15.68 lakh units of motorcycles & scooters in Q4 FY21 as against 13.23 lakh units sold in Q4 FY20, registering a growth of 18.5% on a YoY basis.
On a consolidated basis, the two-wheeler major reported 45.7% rise in net profit to Rs 880.94 crore on 37.2% increase in net sales to Rs 8689.74 crore in Q4 FY21 over Q4 FY20. ....

Two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp on Thursday said it posted a 44.2% rise in consolidated net profit to ₹885.28 crore for the quarter ended March 31.
Compared with the immediately previous quarter, however, net profit declined almost 14%. Total income rose to ₹8,758 crore from ₹6,490.92 crore a year earlier, but lower than the ₹10,032.61 crore recorded in October-December 2020. For the full year, consolidated net profit fell 20% to ₹2,936.05 crore, while total income rose 5% to ₹31,517.09 crore.
During the quarter, the company sold 15.68 lakh units of motorcycles and scooters and for the full year, the number stood at 58 lakh units.
