CAÑON CITY A Pueblo West woman accused of stealing more than $10,500 from the Canon City Home Depot store was sentenced Tuesday to two years probation.
Katie Viloria, 35, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor theft as part of a plea agreement presented in Fremont County District Court. Two other charges were dismissed.
During sentencing, Deputy District Attorney Aaron Pembleton said a large amount of theft took place over “quite a long time frame,” but Viloria does not have any criminal history.
“The people did not want her to have a deferred sentence but did not want to impact her life ongoing,” Pembleton said. ....
