Developed in response to the severe impact of COVID-19 on the region’s small businesses, Expert Connection expands on RDALC’s existing small business support program by providing businesses significantly impacted by COVID-19 with free one-on-one, professional advice. RDALC business and workforce development manager Rachael Ashman said business owners and operators were now accessing expert services. “We’ve worked hard behind the scenes to secure the services of over a dozen top performing business advisors and now we’re keen to get more local businesses accessing these supports,” Ms Ashman said.

GambleAware partners Expert Link for new nationwide support network 11th February 2021 | By Robert Fletcher British gambling charity GambleAware has partnered with research organisation Expert Link on a new initiative to co-design and deliver a nationwide network of people with lived experience of gambling harms. Expert Link will design an entirely independent network that will operate across Great Britain and be representative of the entire British community, focusing on equality, diversity and inclusion. Once formed, the group will also develop capacity and resource to meaningfully participate and influence national debate and policy making across the gambling sector. GambleAware will initially fund the project for 18 months, with the overall aim for the network to become sustainable and independent, including identifying and applying for its own funding sources in the longer term.

GambleAware partners with Expert Link to launch ALERTS network Share ‘ALERTS’ network. GambleAware has provided funding for, ALERTS – which is an acronym for ‘Affected Lived Experience Research, Treatment and Support Group’ – for 18 months. The group will consist of people with lived experience of gambling harm. The charity’s stated ambition is that the group will be ‘sustainable and completely independent, including identifying and applying for its own funding sources in the longer term.’ Additionally, the network will focus on equality, diversity and inclusion, with membership drawn from across the lived experience community, including those who are part of marginalised or underrepresented groups.
