Pakistan- Surge in Corona cases: Education institutions in KP to remain close till indefinite period

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has ordered the immediate closure of educational institutions in 27 districts of the province where the COVID19 infection rate is more than 5 percent.
A statement issued by the office of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Provincial Education Minister Shahram Tarakai on April 24, said from today (April 26), all schools from primary to higher secondary will remain closed in 27 districts.
These districts include Peshawar, Nowshera, Charsadda, Mohmand, Khyber, Mardan, Swabi, Lower Dir, Malakand, Swat, Shangla Upper Dir, Buner, Bajaur, Upper Chitral, Lower Chitral, Abbottabad, Haripur, Mansehra, Batgram, Kohistan Lower, Kohat, Karam, Karak, Bannu, North Waziristan and Dera Ismail Khan. ....

Even as they are under investigations by the International Criminal Court (ICC) for possible war crimes, the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen Tukur Yusuf Buratai, yesterday, urged troops fighting against Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists in the North- East not to be deterred, but redouble their efforts and fight on to secure Nigeria and her people.
The COAS, who spoke from self-isolation after being exposed to a general who reportedly died of Covid-19 last week, forcing the authorities to stop midway the Annual COAS Conference,  charged the troops to be guided by the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Rules of Engagement, the Code of Conduct and the Standing Operating Procedures for all Nigerian Army Operations. ....
