One of the most thrilling moments for an artiste is when love and support arrive in abundance from fans. Gigs are back to zero because of the second wave but there’s still enough support to encourage artistes, a few of whom have stepped up to donate, hold fundraisers, release music and provide beds for those in need. Here are some of the initiatives that have been taken.

Kamakshi Khanna: Indie singer Kamakshi Khanna was a part of two Covid relief fundraisers via virtual concerts. The first one was for FTC (For The Culture, online shopping media) Delhi where she and other artistes from India did a live stream to raise funds for Hemkunt Foundation and Khalsa Aid for the supply of free oxygen and medical assista
Robinson s moment continued Monday (April 26) with the announcement that the second edition of his IRL festival, Second Sky, is taking place in the Bay Area this fall. Produced by Goldenvoice, the show will happen at Berkeley s Cesar E. Chavez Park on September 18-19, with Robinson as the headliner and additional artists to be announced in the coming weeks.
While the event has not yet addressed COVID protocols, a press release notes that Second Sky 2021 moved to a larger venue after the debut 2019 event sold out quickly. Second Sky debuted in June 2019, with a lineup featuring Robinson, Anamanaguchi, Cashmere Cat, Nina Las Vegas, Madeon and others.
