Covid-19: 13 deaths and 738 new cases as Ireland marks one year of pandemic

There have been 13 additional Covid-related deaths, it has been confirmed this evening.
Of these deaths, 10 occurred in February, one in January, one in October and another one remains under investigation.
The youngest person to have died was 55 and the oldest was 92 years old.

A GP is advising parents to not send their children to school if they are sick amid the phased resumption of in-class teaching from Monday.

In an open letter issued last night, the Deputy Chief Medical Officer appealed to parents to limit their interactions with other people when schools reopen.
