On the Eastern Caribbean Securities Market this week, the following securities traded:
• 300 East Caribbean Financial Holding Co Ltd shares traded at $4.00 per share: also, 110 East Caribbean Financial Holding Co Ltd shares traded odd lot in two transactions at $4.00 per share, and Regional Government Securities Market primary market platform of the Eastern Caribbean Securities Exchange:
• the Government of St Vincent and the Grenadines’ 91-day Treasury raised $28.0 million. The competitive uniform price methodology used, resulted in a discount rate of 3.46972%. methodology used, resulted in an interest rate of 7.1%.
Taishin Financial Holding Co Ltd (台新金控) has briefed the Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC) on a tentative plan to sell new shares to raise funds for the acquisition of Prudential Life Insurance Co of Taiwan (保德信人壽).
While the company has yet to formally apply for FSC approval of the share sale plan, the share sale seems to have a few advantages over previous plans, Banking Bureau Chief Secretary Phil Tong (童政彰) told a videoconference on Tuesday.
