OKLAHOMA CITY – McLoud Public Works Authority (Authority) received approval Tuesday for a $6,475,000 Financial Assistance Program (FAP) loan from the Oklahoma Water Resources Board (OWRB) to improve their wastewater infrastructure. The Authority will use the funds for the installation of new headworks, two new sewer lift stations, and new sewer lines.
According to Joe Freeman, chief of the OWRB’s Financial Assistance Division, the Authority’s customers will save an estimated $1,321,400 over the life of the 30-year loan compared to traditional financing. The loan shall be secured with a lien on the revenues of the Authority’s water, sewer, and sanitation systems, a one-cent sales tax, and a mortgage. ....

City receives $205 million loan for Kaw Lake pipeline

City of Enid
The city of Enid received $205 million in funding Tuesday from the state as part of its water pipeline project, the cityâs most expensive project ever.
The 30-year loan for Enidâs Kaw Lake Water Supply Project is Oklahoma Water Resources Boardâs largest-ever, according to a press release.
Through the approved contract with Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality, Enid Municipal Authority will use the funds of this loan in combination with three previously approved OWRB loans to fund the pipeline project.
About 70 miles of pipeline will transport around 10 million gallons of water a day from an intake structure constructed at Kaw Lake to a booster pump station in Enid. ....
