47abc April 16, 2021 The new retail shop, Blackwater Apothecary, is located inside the City Center. Owner, Nicole Bishop, is Eastern Shore born and raised. She says she started working on this business about five years ago, making just candles and incense. From there, it stemmed into what it is today. Inside, the shop you can find herbs, tea, candles, incense, handmade pottery, and other medificial related supplies. She said she is excited about this new adventure and hopes bring the community together. “I definitely hope to grow into something bigger to offer more things to people and what they are looking for,” Bishop, said. “I just hope that people who didn’t feel like they had a sense of community can come in here and feel at home.” ....

On Tuesday, a drive-through exhibit was held in West Palm Beach with a survivor art installation entitled “What Were You Wearing?” It features the stories of five survivors and showcases the clothing items they wore on the day of the attack. The purpose of the installation is to help shift the cultural attitude that a survivor could have prevented an attack by wearing something less revealing. ....
