Cai had a surprising change of heart as she decided to finally go home with the Magbanuas to take care of her real mother, Monica (Nikki Valdez) last Friday in “Bagong Umaga.”
Despite showing concern for Monica, Cai could not convince Tisay, Ely (Tony Labrusca), Angge (Michelle Vito) and Dodong (Yves Flores) who all continue to doubt her motives.
On the other hand, Tisay now feels that Jose and Monica are beginning to appreciate her less, even if it was she who pushed Cai to reconcile with her real parents.
But to Ian (Cris Villanueva) and Maggie (Sunshine Cruz), Tisay is now more than welcome to come home. ....

'People saw her as a matriarch': San Antonio woman leaves lasting legacy as LGBTQ+ pioneer


“People saw her as a matriarch, a mother-figure,” said her wife, Deborah Myers.
She said Nickie was one of the first openly gay women in San Antonio. She came out in the 1960′s during a time when it wasn’t readily accepted.
“She had this courage and this strength about her that allowed her to just be herself,” Deborah said.
Nickie’s activism started early on. In the 1970′s she co-founded Dignity San Antonio, one of the longest running LGBTQ+ organizations in the city.
Their mission is for inclusion for LGBTQ+ people in and out of the Catholic church. Deborah said it was Nickie’s life-work. ....

M/Sgt. John Nuezca, the cop who killed two unarmed civilians last December 20, 2020, has pleaded not guilty.

As a result of his plea, celebrities were angered by how a killer cop was able to enter such appeal when he was caught red-handed.
The killing was caught on video and was submitted as evidence. Still, Nuezca is trying to defend himself.
“How do you plead ‘not guilty’ when you were literally caught on video… Like how do you even have the audacity to deny something you did that was caught on camera?” ....
