The crime scene was something out of a horror movie, with pools of blood, a claw hammer and a lifeless body left in a ditch.
In February 2018, police officers responded to a Hilltown home expecting to find injured people.
Instead they found the family dog dead. A forensic veterinary examination later found the 15-month-old Mountain Cur died as a result of multiple skull fractures.
The suspected killer, Rony Arturo Garcia, was a fugitive until recently, when he was arrested in New York state on new criminal charges, according to Nikki Thompson, chief humane officer for the Bucks County SPCA.
